A day at Villa Augustus

Coco and Douwe tied the knot a little longer than a year ago. Not only was I unable to photograph the wedding, but I couldn’t even be there as a guest. At the time, they told me they had not hired a photographer, but were having everything captured on video. That is not a typical choice, but hey, I couldn’t even be there anyway. If I had been, I would have done the photos. Knowing Coco and her fashion sense combined with a love of dancing, it would have been a blast!
Some months later, I got to thinking…why not set up a wedding portrait session after the fact? It would be a fun and relaxed photo shoot for me, and Coco and Douwe would have their wedding pictures! A win-win situation. Add to that mix the Hotel/Restaurant Villa Augustus in Doordrecht, and almost nothing can go wrong.
I contacted Michael, Chef Cook at Villa Augustus. He gave me the “go ahead”. I also invited fellow photographer Natasja Kemp to help out. The weather worked with us, and we all had a great time. Finally, I have worked throught some of the images and I am quite pleased with the results. Have a look for yourself.

Ja, met zo´n super lokatie en super mensen kan er niet echt veel mis gaan. Zeker niet als je fotografie serieus neemt!
